Delete your account

You can delete your chess.do account and its data at any time, from the app or by email.

In the app

Open chess.do and go to Profile → Settings → Account.
Tap Delete account and confirm. You may be asked to sign in again.
Playing as a guest? Tap Reset progress instead; it deletes your guest data the same way.

Without the app

Email support@chess.do from the address you sign in with (or tell us your player name if you use Apple's private relay) and ask us to delete your account. We'll confirm when it's done.

What is deleted, and when

Right away: your name, email and photo are removed, you leave your league, and the account can no longer be used.
Within 30 days: everything else is permanently deleted: progress, scores, coins, purchase history, streaks and achievements.
Our backups are kept for 14 days, so copies there are gone within 44 days in total.

Coins and other items you bought can't be restored or moved to another account after deletion. Store refunds are handled by Apple or Google.
